"Walter Berry’s The Detective of Dreams is absolutely enchanted—deep, insightful, and profoundly practical, while brimming with wonder, awe, and, most of all, humor . . . oh yes, and a bit of well-placed name-dropping. Walter’s unique spirit, along with his reverence and respect for dreams and the dreaming mind, shines through on every page and in every dream he explores with his soul-magnifying glass. If you find yourself in a dream slump, this book will crack the case of how to awaken you back to the magic of your dreaming soul."

"The Detective of Dreams is a wise and playful guide to the fantastical world of dreams. With his trademark humour and depth, Walter Berry leads us into the awe-filled wonders of dreaming. Illuminated by evocative dream sketches, this vivacious and inspiring book rekindles curiosity and opens us to the mystery of being alive. A marvellous journey into the hidden life of the psyche, this book will help you to encounter—and cradle with love—the
beating red heart of your dreams."
Deirdre Barrett, PhD

"Walter Berry’s The Detective of Dreams is a warm, playful, and compelling invitation to take dreams seriously without flattening their mystery. Berry writes with infectious wonder about the unruly intelligence of the dreaming mind. With curiosity as his magnifying glass and empathy as his method, he shows readers how dreams are not fixed messages to decode, but living encounters with the self. A great storyteller, he weaves anecdotes from his Hollywood career into his discussions of the dream detective work he does, and the result is accessibly engaging and thought-provoking."
